Imagine all the pain the Lord was
in that day and he opened not his mouth. He never defended himself
and he could have called legions of Angels to take him off the
cross. But he didn’t. Because if he had...we that are alive
today would not be here and there would be no salvation for
us.
As Jesus hang upon the Cross that day
in A.D. 33, all your sins were placed on Him. He was the perfect,
sinless Son of Almighty God. He was the only way out for us and we
had not even been born yet. He became every vile and terrible thing
that we are. To show you this watch closely. The Bible states that
in Mark 15:34 -- And at
the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice saying, Eloi, Eloi, Lama
Sabachthani? Notice the question
mark. Jesus said My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? It was a plea, a question.... You see as your
sins were placed upon Jesus, God had to turn his back on him. If he
had not Jesus would not have died. God also is righteous and Just
in that someone has to die for our sins. In our case The Lord Jesus
Christ took OUR place on a cross that should have been for you and
I. Thank you Jesus!
Whenever God turned his back on Jesus and Jesus cried"
why has thou forsaken me"? Then Jesus said in Luke 23:46 -- And when
Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands
I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. NOT DIED, GAVE UP THE GHOST. Now notice the centurion which are in charge
of a hundred men, says. Mark
15:35 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that
he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said Truly this man was
the Son Of God.
Now why would he say a thing like that? He had obviously
witnessed the whole ordeal from the beginning till the end. He was
a roman soldier that had seen men killed, maimed and tortured every
way there was possible. He had no doubt seen horrific events on the
battle field. He was now a believer.... Why? Because he had seen every
form of death imaginable for that day but he had never just seen anyone
die on his own. Most of the people that were crucified took as long
as two to three days to die. Jesus died in a few hours.
Mark 15:44
says, "And Pilate marveled if he were already dead: and calling
unto him the centurion, he asked him weather he had been any while
dead.
The centurion became a believer that day for he claimed
that he (Jesus) was truly the Son Of God.
There were many miracles at Golgotha
that day. My sins were all paid for there. So were yours. I would
like to tell you this is a real story about a Savior that loves you.
The Creator of Heaven and Earth that came down here and gave up his
life willingly so that we might live. Before you leave this website
today I want to ask you have you accepted what he done for you that
day? It’s yours...It’s free... all you need to do is accept what he
did for you on the cross. You don’t have to go anywhere, do any thing,
get good enough to get to God. He’s already done everything for you.
Just believe that Jesus died for your sins.. Claim it and say it in
your heart...accept it today..
