Genesis 28:10 And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba,
and went towards Haran. 11 And he lighted upon
a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun
was set; and he took stones of that place, and put them for
pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. 12
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set upon the earth, and
the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God
ascending and descending on it. 13 And behold,
the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham
thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest,
to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;14
And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt
spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north,
and to the south: and in thy seed will all of the families of
the earth be blessed. 15 And behold, I am with
thee, and will keep the in all places wither thou goest, and
will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee,
until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. 16
And Jacob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the
Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. 17
And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! This
is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of
heaven.
Gen. 12-13, And he dreamed and behold a ladder
set upon the earth, and the top of it reached heaven: and behold
the angels of God ascending and descending upon it. 13
And behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord
God of Abraham, thy father, Jesus Christ in the second coming.
Let’s see what this stairway probably looked like. Go
to Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us
build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and
let us make a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face
of the whole earth. Tower of Babel (anti-type). Look at what
the Bible's reference says about the shape of the Tower. It
was called a ziggurat. The shape of an inverted hour glass.
The typical Mesopotamian tower. Had sloping, stepped sides that
would lead up to a shrine, Idol worship (Anti-type).
They apparently look like pyramids or pyramids look like them.
The prophet Jeremiah describes "The Time Of Jacob’s
Trouble" (the dream); it is also referred to as the 70th
week of Daniel. Seventy weeks are determined upon THY PEOPLE
(Israel). It is the Great Tribulation. Jacob’s name was
also Changed to Israel....
Jesus says in John 1:51 And he saith unto
him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see
heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending
upon the Son of man. In the next chapter Jesus cleanses the
Temple of the money changers. I will point this out later.
Let’s discuss the Bride of Christ. Revelation
21:2 And I John saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming
down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband. 21:9 And there came unto me one
of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the last
seven plagues, and talked with me, saying Come hither, I will
shew the bride, the Lamb’s wife. 10 And
he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain.
Where is that mountain???? Next verse, descending out of heaven
from God.
I have heard a lot of teaching today that Christians are the
bride of Christ. I believe we will have a marriage supper with
the Lamb of God as it says. But notice these next verses. Folks,
when we come back out of heaven we will be with the King of
Kings and Lord of Lords, He will destroy the antichrist and
the false prophet and all gathered against him. We will be right
behind him, I imagine as his army.
I want to point out a couple things here; John describes it
this way: "prepared as a bride," not the
bride. The next verse describes the bride as the Holy City,
new Jerusalem. But it doesn’t come down until Heaven and
earth are passed away after the millennial reign of Christ.
When Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven in the tribulation
period, they won’t hit the ground with a thud like a meteorite,
these are angelic beings that have supernatural powers and will
be able to do anything they want while they’re here. They
have just been run out of heaven. How will they show up here
on earth???
Probably as the bride of Christ coming in the heavens and landing
on the earth and deceiving the entire world.... (antichrist)
I think there will be a coming war that will almost equal that
of the tribulation. The Devil will show up with his angels after
the antichrist is killed and say he and his followers are the
Bride come down out of heaven to inherit the earth. Then is
when you will hear, "he is in the desert" or "he
is in the secret places." All the false christs and false
prophets will be showing up everywhere. They will be Satan’s
fallen angels. I’m sure it is the same bunch as described
in Genesis 6:2 as the sons of God. They came down and mingled
with the women and it was so bad that God destroyed the earth
with a flood. They were referred to as giants. That will match
the verses about the antichrist having a look that was more
"stout" than his fellows. Read it and see. The evil
of those days are coming back. Genesis 6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually. Then he destroyed it with the flood.
Do you think things could ever get that bad on earth again?
When Satan shows up with his angels they will. Turn to the Book
of Revelations 9:20 And the rest of the men
which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the
works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and
idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood:
which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Hard to believe isn’t
it??? When Satan shows up he will lead the entire world into
idol worship (we’re almost there now), then he will let
people think it is ok to indulge in any sin; you know, since
he will say he is God so it must be alright? Except for the
ones that won’t take the mark, those he will promptly
kill. Grasping at straws? I don’t think I am. He will
come as the false bride. Satan knows the scriptures.
I wanted to get back to the part where Jesus cleansed the temple.
In the final days of the tribulation I think the only way the
people living there might know it is safe, they will have to
count the days... Daniel 12:11 And from the
time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination
that maketh desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand two
hundred and ninety days. 3 1/2 years, last half of the tribulation.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to
the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 45 more
days.
Daniel 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking,
and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake,
How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice,
and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary
and the host to be trodden under foot? 14 And
he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then
shall the sanctuary be cleansed. This also parallels John 1:51.
The beast and the antichrist may be destroyed between verse
13 and verse 14. Then the temple will be cleansed. I believe
heaven will be opened and the Lord will send the angels to clean
out all things that offend. (True Type)
I have tried to tell you what I see in the scriptures today.
Please keep in mind we don’t have any agenda here except
to preach the word of God; and as best we can show whatever
we can about Bible prophecy if it is in the Bible. There are
going to be things coming upon the earth in the tribulation
that causes men’s hearts to fail with fear. People will
be deceived and the known world at that time will be totally
controlled by Satan and his angels. The Bible says, except those
days be shortened there should no flesh be spared. You don’t
want to be there.
