Baptism
December 31, 2003

Hello and We welcome you today to the ministry. We hope that anything you learn here today that you will give God the glory for it. These teachings are for you and fellow brethren, that once you learn it, you need to teach others. It is not our goal to be anything other than a source of truth for you.

We get questions about baptism about as much as any other question asked. I have made a decision to take a stand and show the truth to anyone who will see it as I have seen it. I understand how hard is for some people to stop a practice they have been raised all their life to believe is a fundamental part of their salvation.

I must tell you today that we don’t have anything to gain by convincing you that baptism is not for the church today. Other than it is the absolute truth. If you are doing ANYTHING other than trusting what Jesus did for you at Calvary to complete your salvation, then you probably aren’t saved. Now before you make up your mind I don’t know what I’m talking about, let’s see what the BIBLE says.

Ephesians 2: 4-9. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast" (no baptism)

Titus 3:5. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..." (no baptism)

Col. 2: 10, "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" (no baptism)

Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles (you and I). He states in 1 Cor. 1:17, “for Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel..." (no baptism) And a direct order from the Lord Jesus Christ. It also doesn’t mean that Paul is saying that the Lord sent him not (primarily) to baptize. If you start changing words in the Bible, you get the madness we have in the denominational system of today. It is utter confusion brought about the master of it and is causing millions to wake up in hell.

If you will also notice all four of these statements were from the Apostle Paul.

Ok, now let’s see where people are getting this baptism from out of the Bible.

Christ’s ministry was revealed through water baptism:

John 1:31-32, John the Baptist said, "...that he should made manifest to Israel, therefore I am come baptizing with water” Note (the Bible says He should be made manifest to Israel...) YOU are not the House of Israel, never have been and never will be.

Matt. 15:24. Jesus said, "...I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (ok, I will let you get your breath after this one) . Folks if you do not see the truth the Lord himself is saying here, then it is because you don’t want to see it. Jesus said "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel". Beloved ....That is not you.

Christ’s ministry was that of the circumcision.

The Lord commissioned the twelve apostles, who were Jews.

Matt: 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Holy Ghost" (no Gentiles mentioned)

Mark 16:15-16, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." (no Gentiles Mentioned)

The 8,000 of Acts 2:41 and 4;4 identified with Christ through water baptism, as in Acts 2:38 (..."Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..."). Note that is REMISSION of sins. It is NOT forgiveness of sins.

Before you say the Lord sent the apostles to preach unto every creature as if that means all people, then think of what he Just told the apostles, " I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel". Are you and I to believe that Jesus changed his mind when he sent out the apostles. No, of course not. Jesus trained the twelve and sent them unto the nation of Israel.(only)

I would like for you to compare a few more things if you will.

Paul Said, Gal. 2:7, "But contrarywise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision unto Peter..."

2Tim. 2:15 Paul said , "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,"

Folks, the Lord wasn’t wasting ink when he had these men write the Bible. If you search the scriptures and rightly divide the word, it will set you free.

Peter’s Gospel

Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature"

Acts 2:38, "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized...for the remission of sins..."

Acts 3:19, " Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the Lord" (folks, that’s at the second coming of the Lord after the tribulation when they get their sins blotted out)

Acts 10:35, "But in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him". (We have been reconciled to God by Christ, we have no need to work for it.)

Paul’s Gospel:

Rom. 11:13, "For I speak to you gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles..."

1Cor. 1:17, "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel..."

Rom. 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth..." (What is the gospel of Christ?), It is the gospel that was committed unto the apostle Paul,. Was that Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. That he was made sin for us. That he died that we might have life, etc.

Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..." PRAISE GOD!!!!

I hope that you will have seen the light in these scriptures today. I would ask that you pray about them and ask God to show you how to see this and how to tell someone else about it. It is important. If your preacher is teaching you have to be baptized to be saved today, then read your Bible until the Lord shows you the way out. You will see it if you want to.

In closing I would like to say your blood is on my hands today. I will have to stand before God and give a TOTAL account of the words I have told you today. I do not intend to lead you astray. You are worth more than the entire world to God. My only wish is that you will be saved. There is not much time left, spend it doing the work of an evangelist. We might have to face some of our loved ones someday and when they are sent into hell they will ask us why, why didn’t we tell them the truth. Please don’t let your answer be..."because I didn’t Know"

God Bless you all......

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Michael
