Hello. Thank you for coming today. Today’s message
is on studying the Word of GOD. This verse is very important
to the Bible Believer. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself
approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
There’s a lot in that verse. “Study to show thyself
approved," would seem to imply some form of judgment
wouldn’t it? Not for your salvation but I certainly
believe for a reward in heaven someday. It would seem to please
God greatly to study His Word." To show thyself approved
unto God."
At the judgment seat of Christ, it also implies that we will
be ashamed for not studying His Word. There are many crowns
for one to receive in Heaven and it only takes a few minutes
a day, try to study more, it helps you and it helps you help
others.
"Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth". We all know
that God’s Word is all truth, but a lot of Christians
don’t know whether the Word of Truth is all to them
or to someone else. Why would Paul say such a thing? There
are natural divisions in the bible. There were times when
God was blessing Israel and times He wasn’t. God is
the same yesterday, today and forever, but He doesn’t
deal with man today the same as he did 3 thousand years ago.
