Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye
put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness. 25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every
man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
I would like to say verse 24 is about our "Standing"
in the Lord. When we were saved, we were Glorified, not because
of anything we have done but what Christ had done for us at
that moment, that said, We are to walk in newness of life as
if we are Glorified. However, our "State" is another
matter altogether. We are carnal, sold under sin, we are constantly
in a spiritual battle and we are still in a body that has sin,
and as such, until the Lord removes us from here, we must fight
the "Old Man."
26 Be ye angry and sin not: let not the sun go down on your
wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole
steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands
the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that
hath need.
Love your neighbor, next door, next town, next state, next
continent. HELP people that are in need! Do it, I can’t
imagine that God would not reward you many fold over helping
people.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers.
Build up the body, say kind things to people, be careful what
you say.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God. whereby ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption.
Folks, if you get nothing else out of this today, remember
this, The Holy Spirit has been with you since the second you
were sealed, He is a witness to all the persecution you suffer,
all the kind things you do, all your thoughts, all your actions
good or bad, walk as you would walk if the Lord was standing
next to you because beloved, He is inside you. He really is.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger, and clamour, and
evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving
one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven
you.
I cannot add anything to this.
People, today, right where you are, if you have something against
someone, drop it and pick up the phone or go in person and make
things right. Start today and help make this a better world
to live in, unify the Body of Christ, of which we are all members.
We are supposed to be "model" people for the world
out there, we are “light" to show others out of the
dark. Don’t do things that make people hate Christians
(I know, a lot of people don’t like us anyway), but just
TRY to put forth a little more kindness and love toward your
fellow man. One day in the future you might also see that there
are people saved that are going to come up to you and say, I
watched you and you didn’t know it and I wanted what you
had, so I trusted Christ as my personal Savior, and I wanted
to say, I am here in Heaven... because of you!
I would just like to say, pray with all your might and make
the "Right" decision when you vote in a few weeks,
our future depends on the outcome of this election... Do the
right thing...
